This section provides documentation for deploying and managing Kryden Solutions STIG-aligned images on Amazon Web Services.

General AWS Information¶
Prerequisites¶
Before deploying any Kryden Solutions AMI, ensure you have:
- An active AWS account
- Appropriate IAM permissions to launch EC2 instances
- A VPC with appropriate networking configured
- An SSH key pair for instance access
Licensing¶
Most Kryden Solutions images are Bring Your Own License (BYOL). Amazon Linux 2023 is free and requires no additional OS license. For RHEL images, ensure you have an active Red Hat subscription.
AWS Marketplace¶
Our AMIs are available through the AWS Marketplace. Search for "Kryden STIG" to find available images.
Before Production Deployment¶
- Run your own compliance scan using OpenSCAP or your preferred tool
- Review and adjust disabled controls based on your requirements
- Validate all security settings against your organization's policies
- Perform thorough testing in a non-production environment
- Document any modifications made for your compliance records
